Samsung SyncMaster 914V 11.28.05 (9:11 am) [edit]
So like many IT professionals I work on a HP notebook computer. And despite having a wide screen, it is still fairly small if you spend a major part of your life looking at a monitor. And that is why it was my sincere wish to have a big monitor.
Well, my boss finally let us all have Samsung SyncMaster 914V 19 inch LCD monitors. Installation was a piece of cake after we bought them on Black Friday at Staples. I even played a DVD (something that I do not plan to do on my monitor, though) just to check the quality, and I would say that while this is not a substitute for a TV, it is excellent for getting more work done.
A colleague of mine who has a slightly older machine did find that the picture was somewhat pixelated and a call to Samsung was not much help. After taking all my personal information (I am sure that they will send me junk mail and get rich selling my information) the guy simply transferred me to nVidia (guessing that it was the graphics card that was the problem) - who did not even bother answering the phone.

Italian men - who have always been trendier anyway - are actually pretty far ahead. As many as 15% of cosmetic surgery patients in Italy are now men. And like their prime minister, they love hair transplants. Other popular procedures are the tummy tucks (with all the delicious Italian food that they get to eat, they need it) and liposuction to get rid of love handles. When Victoria Beckham mentioned her wish to look even more beautiful, my understanding was that she actually never had plastic surgery. And in fact that is what she has been saying all along.
But, guess what? Now that she had to file some documents in a lawsuit, she had to disclose that she actually did have a breast augmentation job. I wonder why some celebrities can’t just be straightforward. Most fans would love them regardless.

If you recall, Tyra Banks, the Victoria’s Secret model, recently took her bra off on television and let a doctor examine her to declare that her breasts are real and she has not had plastic surgery. But does it mean that she is the perfect woman?
Probably not. Unfortunately, like a lot of other women who worry about their looks for no reason, she too has body image problems. On another episode of her show she says that she is neither happy with her face nor with her body.
“My eyebrows are too far apart, I’d love to have longer eyelashes and a wider smile, like Julia Roberts or Cameron Diaz. My mouth is small and tight,” she complained. If that is not enough to depress you, she also does not like other parts of her body which most normal people will do anything to get. “My calves are non-existent, so I rarely wear skirts or shorts. I’d love to have larger ones,” she says. “And I have cellulite, not just on my booty, but on my arms. I saw it in the elevator with overhead lighting.”
Is there any hope for average women if gorgeous women like Banks talk like this?
